Aloe Up..... Sunscreen

Two years ago while on vacation to California I came across the line
of products called Aloe Up
I purchased their sunscreen at Glen Ivy Hot Spring and Spa with my now Mother-in-law and sister-in-law! If your ever out in California or the San Diego area this is a must visit spa! It's reasonably priced, absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a girls spa day!

I have sensitive skin and so I was always trying new brands of sunscreen- especially for my face.
My search ended after finding the brand Aloe Up! Aloe Up is different from other brands because all of their products come from Aloe Vera plants organically grown and processed in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

By using Aloe Vera gel as the base of all of their products their products are: non- greasy, sweat resistant (will not run in your eyes and sting), moisturizes while it protects, and absorbs very quickly into the skin.
Also every Aloe Up product starts with Aloe plants that are organically processed in the USA!
GO USA!

You can only purchase there products at specialty retail stores and online! On their website you can locate a store or place an online order.
LOVE this sunscreen
This is a sunscreen for people who are active as it lasts for 8 hours and is waterproof.
This is a dry lotion sunscreen. I had never herd of this before trying it!
No- it's not a powder, it is a lotion. However it rubs in very easily and is non-greasy.
I cannot stress more how easily this product soaks into your skin and doesn't leave you with a film of lotion all over.
As a contact lens wearer this is really nice because it will not sweat off or get into your eyes and cause burning.
I bought the SPF 15, but will also buy the SPF 30 this summer when I visit!

The best face sunscreen EVER!
This for the face sunscreen can even be used as an everyday moisturizer for sensitive skin.
It is very lightweight, non-greasy, non comedogenic (won't block your pores) and hypo-allergenic.
I carry this is my purse with me everywhere!

Check out this line of sunscreen- you won't be sorry.... or burned!

Meet my fur baby Hudson!

Hudson

Our almost 3 year old (sigh) French Bulldog

 Our forever fur baby

The sweetest dog I've ever met

My little sound machine always snorting and snoring

A complete bed hog

My constant companion- even in the bathroom

The only dog I've ever known that LOVES going to the vet

Giver of unconditional love and kisses

Spoiled and proud of it

Our little "monkey", "butterball"& "angel"

The best car co-pilot always wanting to tag along for a ride

Famous (well sort of!) he was in a commercial for our vet!

You brighten my day with just one little look!

Our complete pride and joy

I LOVE you sweet little guy!

Hudson's first picture at home the night we picked him up at the airport!
He slept like this always when he was a baby- he loved to nestle into our necks
Even a sweetheart after his "fixing"
kisses
The Heimbigners
 Couch cuddles
the best sleeper
Angel face

A Frenchie Santa
Bath time!
tongue always out
happy happy happy
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat
of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Poolside Style

I confess, I'm a bag lady- and with summer quickly approaching I've
been on the hunt for a new beach bag! Can you ever have too many bags?!?
The answer is simple... NO!!!
One of my favorite brands is Scout Bags
They're affordable, chic, and come in a variety of different patterns and colors.

You can't go wrong with the origional Dean-O bag!

This wristlet style is perfect for replacing your wallet in your beach bag.
It is made with water resistant material and it also has a slot for your ID!
You'll be ready to buy all those yummy summer cocktails!

This matching bag would be prefect for all other accessories needed: cell phone, sunscreen and lipgloss!
Coolers are another beach trip must have!
I received this super cute Mud Pie cooler as a gift at one of my bridal showers!
It is as practical as it is cute! The lining inside makes clean-up super easy!
I have also doubled this bag as a carry on for trips out to CA!
This cooler has accompanied me to CA, Puerto Rico, Tybee Island and many more places to come!

Floppy hats are not only stylish but they are a great way to help protect your skin! Like most women I love having a great tan, however I want it without the wrinkles! My favorites are from Marley Lilly.

cute colors + monogram
I really can't decide if I want all black classic or a pop of color!

Down South we had a very mild winter and as expected Springtime heat has already arrived!
I can't believe I've already had two pool days and it's only March!
With these items I'll be lounging poolside in style!

Cathing up...poolside

Well crap!
I'm already behind on my blogging!
As a newbie I didn't completely realize how quickly that could happen!
These past few weeks have been jam packed with work and lots of fun events!
I'm getting my booty in gear and working on blogs for the week..... all while soaking up the sun poolside. I have got to say this is the perfect setting to write away!
Stay tuned!

I'm writing I promise!

My Stationary Obsession!

Every since planning our wedding I've been really into to all things stationary! At this point I'm stamping my new monogram on basically anything that's not moving!
I'm like a little kid in the fact that I absolutely LOVE getting
letters, invitations and cards in the mail.
I literally check my mail every single day!

I have saved every invitation from mine and my girlfriends life milestones : engagement parties, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, baby showers, christmas cards etc.
Since my current stationary has my old monogram I'm in the market for something new!
Check out what I'm loving in the stationary and pretty paper department!

It's old news that I have a major addiction to everything Etsy, and the following
are from the shop Ella Bella Notes .

Chevron, cute color, and a monogram = perfection!

Can't go wrong with navy and pink!
I'm dying over this French Bulldog letterpress thank you card. I SO wish letterpress
wasn't so expensive, but I may have to bite the bullet on this one!
You can find this card at Fat Bunny Press.

Love the pops of color on this set from When it Rains!

I ordered this cute return address stamp to use for our thank you
notes and future cards etc. It came with black ink, but next time I may try to refill the ink
with a bright color like magenta or ocean green! This stamper comes in
handy BIG time when send out large amounts of mail at once!
There are plenty of companies to order stamps from, I ordered ours from Fine Stationary.

A website I also like is Zazzle. I ordered bright colored return address labels with
matching stickers to use on the back of envelopes for our save the dates.  I unfortunately
couldn't find the exact one I created so this is just an example.
You can customize everything on this site from colors to fonts
The prices on this site are super affordable!
I recently came across the website Boatman Geller and I LOVE everything on it! All the products are covered in the most amazing patterns, prints and bright colors!
This is a great sight for all things gift giving- any friends, bride, sister, Mom etc would love a personalized gift from here!

I love that the have almost all of the products in each pattern. So if you find a pattern that you DIE for you can order it all: recipe cards, save the dates, a pretty melamine platter, plates, return address labels etc all to match!

How stinkin cute are these personalized wine tags?!?! I can't wait
to get these, they're perfect for bringing over to a friends
house for dinner, the holidays or really any occasion!

I absolutely adore this super cute recipe card and box set. Talk about a perfect gift for a kitchen themed bridal shower!

Love the fold over note cards, the only problem is how do I possibly choose?!?!

Swoozies is another fabulous store! I was really sad when the Charlotte store closed. Lucky for me they have all their products online! The few items I listed below are just a quick glimpse at their incredible assortment of goodies :)
Kate Spade
You can't go wrong with Lilly Pulitzer in my book! Loving the sailboats!

Jonathan Adler- The perfect notepad for grocery lists!
Now I just have to make a decision on what to order! This is going to be difficult!

Cheers to the Freakin Weekend!

I have the entire weekend off and we have lots of fun plans! YAY!
Joel and I both have had really hectic work weeks so we were both in
the mood for a relaxing Friday! This afternoon I treated myself to
a trip to Modern Salon & Spa for a MUCH needed haircut!

I'm embarrassed to even say how many months it's been since my last haircut.
After cutting my hair stylist curled my hair into pretty waves. She was so sweet and gave me lots of pointers and tips! Now I just have to
practice and hopefully master the curling iron!
Lord knows my hair needs a little styling change up!
Bare with me on the awful self portrait pic in my car! I chopped off 4 inches and man it feels good!
Husby got of work at 5:00 today Yippee! It was a warm evening and we were both craving a nice meal on a patio!
We headed to The Liberty a restaurant down the street.
We started out on the patio.... but after about 30 minutes we're forced
to go inside as it started torrential down-pouring.
Oh well! Our meal was great and the company was too ;)

homemade warm pretzels for an app and delicious Sangria!
I picked up the Skinny Girl Sangria at Target today and I've got to say it's AMAZING! I gotta support my girl Bethenny!
Cheers to the weekend!

I'm only drinking one glass of this tonight though because tomorrow we're doing the 12th annual St. Patrick's Day pub crawl!

Although the weather is supposed to be rainy I'm sure we'll manage to have lots of (beer) laughs and fun times with our wonderful friends!

Hopefully Sunday we can drag our booties to our tax appointment at 1pm! UGH!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone!

Cheers!

My new favorite show- GCB

My poor poor overworked DVR! I have a new favorite show- it's GCB ("Good Christian Bitches") and it airs on Sunday nights on ABC. It's two episodes in and I'm already addicted. It's absolutely hilarious, and has so many catchy lines that I have to rewind, listen and laugh again!  I caught up on Sunday night's episode today while relaxing on the couch with my fur baby Hudson!

I REALLY cannot wait for the finale of The Bachelor Finale & Bethenny Ever After tonight! Gotta love reality TV!
